These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of hitekpets.com (the "Site") and your purchase of any product from Hi-tek Pets LLC ("Hi-tek Pets," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.

By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who may buy

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. By ordering, you confirm that you meet that requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. What we sell

Hi-tek Pets sells personalized digital pet certificates: printable commemorative documents celebrating a pet's birth or adoption. Each certificate is:

  • personalized with details you provide during checkout;
  • delivered electronically as print-ready PDF files in US Letter and A4 sizes, in both a full-color version and an ink-friendly version;
  • assigned a unique registry record number and recorded in the Hi-tek Pets Registry.

Our certificates are commemorative keepsakes. They are not government documents, veterinary records, breed registration papers, pedigree certification, proof of ownership, or evidence of any legal status. The Hi-tek Pets Registry is a private record maintained by us and carries no official or governmental standing. Please don't rely on a Hi-tek Pets certificate for any legal, medical, or official purpose.

3. Personalization is your responsibility

You choose the design and wording and you enter your pet's details. We print exactly what you enter. Before adding your certificate to your cart, you confirm that you have checked the spelling.

We do not proofread, correct, or alter the details you provide. If you make a mistake, our Typo-Proof Guarantee covers a free re-issue within 30 days — see our Refund Policy.

4. Content you provide

You are responsible for the content you submit. By submitting it, you confirm that you have the right to use it and that it is not unlawful, obscene, hateful, threatening, defamatory, or infringing on anyone else's rights.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, and to decline to produce or to remove any certificate or registry record, if the content submitted violates these Terms. If we cancel an order on these grounds before delivery, we will refund you in full.

5. Pricing, discounts, and payment

All prices are shown in US dollars and are the prices displayed at checkout. Multi-certificate discounts are applied automatically in the cart when they apply. We may change prices, run promotions, or end promotions at any time; the price that applies to your order is the one shown at the moment you complete checkout.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to cancel any order placed at an incorrectly listed price, refunding you in full.

6. The Hi-tek Pets Registry

Every certificate we issue receives a unique record number and a permanent entry in the Hi-tek Pets Registry, published at hitekpets.com/registry.

  • Records are private by default. A registry record confirms that a certificate is genuine and shows only what you choose to share. Your pet's name and details are not displayed publicly unless you ask us to display them.
  • You control what appears. You may ask us at any time to publish your pet's name, to hide it again, or to correct a detail, using the form at hitekpets.com/pages/manage-record. We verify requests against the email address on the order before changing a record.
  • Record numbers are permanent and sequential. They are issued in order and are not reassigned, reused, or transferred between pets.
  • We may maintain, migrate, or change the presentation of the Registry over time. We will make reasonable efforts to keep existing record numbers resolvable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Registry or of any individual record page.

7. Your license to use your certificate

When you purchase a certificate, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use, print, and display your certificate for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may:

  • print your certificate as many times as you like, at home or at any print shop;
  • frame it, gift it, and display it in your home;
  • share images of your finished certificate on social media.

You may not:

  • resell, redistribute, or license the certificate or its files to anyone else;
  • use the certificate or any part of its artwork for commercial purposes, including in products you sell;
  • extract, modify, or reuse the border artwork, ornamental designs, seal, or typography as design assets;
  • present the certificate as an official, governmental, or veterinary document.

8. Our intellectual property

All artwork, ornamental borders, layouts, the Hi-tek Pets registry seal, the Hi-tek Pets name and logo, site copy, and the design of the certificates themselves are the property of Hi-tek Pets LLC and are protected by copyright and trademark law. The license in Section 7 is a license to use your certificate — it does not transfer ownership of any of the underlying artwork.

The details you provide about your pet remain yours.

9. Printing results

Certificates are supplied as print-ready PDFs at 300 DPI. Colors and finish will vary between printers, papers, and print shops — home inkjet output, laser output, and professional printing all render color differently, and screen colors never match print exactly. Variation in printed appearance is a normal characteristic of home and commercial printing and is not a defect in the file we supply.

10. Availability of the Site

We work to keep the Site and our delivery system running, but we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated in these Terms and in our Refund Policy, the Site and our products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hi-tek Pets LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to your purchase or your use of the Site will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or costs of printing, framing, or reprinting, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hi-tek Pets LLC and its members and agents from any claim arising out of content you submit, your use of a certificate outside the license granted in Section 7, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your purchase will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Georgia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If you live in a jurisdiction whose consumer protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings locally, that right is not affected by this section.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect when you place your order governs that order. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.

16. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms, together with our Refund Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, and Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Hi-tek Pets LLC regarding your purchase.
