Make it official. Celebrate the day your pet joined the family with a beautifully designed, personalized certificate from The Official Pet Registry of Hi-tek Pets — delivered as a high-resolution, print-ready PDF. Choose Birth Certificate or Adoption Certificate wording — perfect for Gotcha Days and rescue pets.

How it works

  1. Pick Birth or Adoption — the certificate title and the date labels switch to "Certificate of Adoption" and Date & Time of Adoption.
  2. Choose a design — two dog styles (Heritage Navy, Royal Damask) and two cat styles (Coral Classic, Navy Elegance), each with custom-designed engraved-style borders and the gold Hi-tek registry seal.
  3. Add your pet's details — name, breed, dates, pet parents, guardians, favorite treat and personality trait, with a live preview as you type.
  4. Receive your certificate — a crisp 300 dpi PDF in both US Letter and A4, emailed to you instantly, ready to print and frame — with an ink-friendly page included for home printers.

Common questions

Is a pet birth certificate an official document?
No. It is a keepsake and a private registry record — not a government document, and it carries no legal standing. The documents that are legally recognized for a pet are things like a microchip registration, a local pet license, and breed papers from a registry such as the AKC or CFA. What a Hi-tek Pets certificate is: a permanent, verifiable entry in The Official Pet Registry of Hi-tek Pets, with its own serial number that anyone can look up to confirm the certificate is genuine.

My rescue's birthday is unknown. What do I put?
Choose the Adoption certificate and use the adoption date. That is the most common situation by far, and it is exactly what the adoption wording exists for — the record celebrates the day they came home rather than a birthday nobody knows. For breed, "Mixed breed" is fine.

What is the difference between the birth and adoption versions?
The wording and the date labels. Birth reads "Certificate of Birth" with Date, Time and Place of Birth. Adoption reads "Certificate of Adoption" with Date, Time and Place of Adoption. Everything else — the designs, the fields, the seal, the registry serial — is identical. You pick with one toggle, and the preview updates as you switch.

How much does it cost, and why is a price crossed out?
The launch price is $6.99 and it runs through October 31, 2026. The crossed-out $7.99 is the regular price, which takes effect on November 1, 2026. Buy two certificates and 10% comes off, three or more and 20% comes off, applied automatically at checkout.

How fast do I get it?
Instantly. Your PDFs are emailed the moment your payment goes through, in both US Letter and A4, ready to print. If nothing has landed within a few minutes, check spam and Promotions.

What if I make a typo?
Reply to your delivery email and we re-issue it free within 30 days. That is the Typo-Proof Guarantee, and it is the reason we ask you to tick the spelling box before checkout — we would rather you caught it, but if you don't, it costs you nothing.

What paper should I print it on?
Any home printer works, and you'll get a thin white edge around the design that a standard frame covers completely. Every PDF also includes an ink-friendly page — the same certificate on a white ground with the ornament lightened — for when you'd rather not spend the ink on a full-color print. For the best result, take the PDF to a print shop and ask for 65–80 lb cardstock — a single full-color print usually costs less than the ink you'd use at home, and the weight is what makes it feel like a document rather than a page.

What is the registry serial number for?
It is what makes the certificate checkable rather than just printable. Every certificate we issue gets its own number in the format HTP-YYYY-NNNNN, recorded permanently and in order. Scan the QR code on the Registry Card, or enter the number at the registry, and the record confirms the certificate is genuine.

Can I keep my pet's record private?
Yes — and private is the default. A record page confirms that the certificate is authentic without showing your pet's name or your details to anyone. If you would like the name shown publicly, you can ask us to change it at any time; nothing is ever made public unless you choose it.

The perfect gift for new puppy and kitten parents, adoptions, and Gotcha Days.

The Typo-Proof Guarantee

Spot a typo after delivery? We'll re-issue your certificate free within 30 days — no questions asked. Because each certificate is personalized and delivered digitally, all sales are final once delivered; free corrections replace refunds. Please double-check spelling before checkout.
